As an innovative leader in the prefinished hardwood flooring market, Vintage Hardwood Flooring, manufacturer of Vintage Prefinished Flooring, has built a reputation of exceptional quality and service both across Canada and in the United States.

When Vintage opened its doors in 1989, the hardwood flooring market was comprised of mainly unfinished strip flooring. With determination and hard work, Vintage soon established a loyal following of hardwood flooring installers throughout Ontario.

In 1994, Vintage made its debut into the prefinished market by supplying a local hardwood flooring prefinishing company with the unfinished flooring that would be finished and marketed throughout Canada.

Just outside the small rural town of Rockwood Ontario on a quiet country road surrounded by nature sits a state of the art manufacturing facility. It is here at Herwynen Saw Mill that their quality pre-finished solid hardwood flooring is created under the Trademark name Superior Flooring.

Their higher grade lumber comes to them pre-cut and is then dried in their kilns for up to 40 days. Highly qualified personnel monitor the kilns to ensure the best ratio of dryness to moisture content for each type of wood, therefore giving a more stable finished product. Precision milling on state-of-the-art equipment ensures uniformity and a perfect fit of tongue and groove joints. All Superior hardwood products have a four side micro-bevel edge. The micro-bevel allows for the floor boards to fit together as tightly as possible, creating a more polished and impressive flooring finish for you.

Bona is proud of their history. Back in 1894, the 26-year old Wilhelm Edner opened a small grocery shop in Malmö, Sweden where he sold coffee. The business went well and during the 1910's, floor wax came into the picture - a completely new product to the Swedish market.

Within five years, floor polish, mop oil, dry floor cleaner, waxing equipment, and other floor care products were added. More than 90 years later, those simple origins have developed into a company that leads the industry and sets standards worldwide.
